Digital Photography Courses and WorkshopsCome and explore the creative possibilities of your digital camera and meet other like minded photographers in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The workshop are designed to cater for all types of digital camera but to take full advantage of the course a SLR with manual controls is recommended. The workshops will enable you to take control of your camera, we will consider composition, lighting and depth of field. We use short enjoyable projects to illustrate a range of techniques to help yopu take better photographs. Following each project we will cosider the results by projecting them on to a lagrage screen so each of the participants can share ther images and experiances. All of the workshops consider computer software to enhance your photography, inparticular Adobe Photoshop. The workshop will taught by Brian Clarke MA, Brian started lecturing in photography at Birmingham Polytechnic in the 80’s later being a course leader in Photography and Foundation studies in Art and design, His university teaching has included both undergraduate and postgraduate students. s

Digital Photography course 1 Sunday 1st July 2012 The day starts in our seminar room with a board introduction to digital photography.Then a project introduction and off to the Upton House gardens to explore the project theme. Before lunch we meet back at seminar room to discuss progress. Students are encouraged to share their experience by allowing us to project the images made thought out the day to enable the group to respond and discuss what we have archived. Following lunch a short lecture will consider the main themes photography explores, some of these themes will be introduced as subject matter for the remainder of the afternoon where a study will be undertaken using the house and grounds The final lecture looks at the manipulation of digital images using Adobe photoshop software. Consideration of composition, manipulation of colour and desatuaration. Cost £75Recommended equipment to bring along to the workshop.

Digital Photography course 3 Capturing the Autumn at Upton House National Trust Gardens. Nov 4th 2012 early Start.
Early morning photography workshop, “Catching the Autumn Dawn” at Upton House National Trust Gardens Come and explore the creative possibilities of your digital camera and meet other like minded photographers in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The workshop uses the beautiful National Trust Gardens at Upton House to capture that special Autumnal light and colour. The dawn workshops start early at 6am and finish’s around 1.30. The workshop is designed to cater for all types of digital camera but to take full advantage a SLR with manual controls is recommended. The workshop will enable you to take control of your camera, we will consider composition, lighting and depth of field in the first instance later using Adobe photoshop to look at ways of enhancing and controlling our images.
